The next medical outreach trip to the Roatan and Guanaja islands in Honduras will be March 16th - 23rd, 2024, and the fall trip is then scheduled for September 21st - 28th, 2024. The total cost for each person, including airfare, is $2500 with a $1000 deposit that is non-refundable once we purchase a ticket in your name. The March trip has already reached maximum capacity so we encourage your to save your spot for September.
We are especially looking for medical providers in the pediatrics, ob/gyn, dermatology, ENT, orthopedics, physical therapy and dental areas for both of the upcoming opportunities. So, if you know a PA, MD, PT, a nurse practitioner, or a dentist who is looking for an adventure, get them to sign up with us..
If you want to know more about our outreach trips, you can read our daily blog from the July 2023 trip here. For Future opportunities click here or use the "Contact Us" button. Any questions can be emailed to info@p4gh.org.
Medical Equipment and Supply Containers
During the past couple of years while we couldn't travel, we stayed busy collecting medical supplies and large hospital equipment that filled up multiple storage units. Our team in Charleston, South Carolina, worked tirelessly for months on end storing, organizing and cataloging beds, incubators, wheelchairs, and a multitude of other supplies before transferring it all to 40 ft containers for shipping. We successfully transported and delivered these shipping containers to the hospital in Bluefields, Nicaragua. The first one was delivered in 2020 and the last two in March of 2022. These donations are now being used in local medical clinics, the Bluefields University and the Bluefields Hospital. You can find pictures and read about our first container in 2020 on our about us page. More donations are arriving weekly and we are currently exploring sending containers to Honduras and the island nation of Granada. Contact us if you are interested in helping us with this effort locally in Charleston.
